Wozu Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to lead and manage our communications efforts.

The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that enhance the visibility and reputation of Wozu Inc. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our external and internal communications, managing our online presence, and ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.

Full-Time

Communication Strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan to support the strategic objectives of Wozu Inc.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust as necessary.

Content Creation and Management

  • Write, edit, and oversee the production of high-quality content for various platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, press releases, and marketing materials.
  • Manage the organization’s social media accounts, creating engaging content and responding to inquiries.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the organization’s mission, values, and goals.

Media Relations

  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts.
  • Develop and distribute press releases, and manage media inquiries and interviews.
  • Coordinate media coverage for events and special initiatives.

Internal Communications

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep staff and volunteers informed and engaged.
  • Produce and distribute internal newsletters and updates.

Branding and Public Relations

  • Ensure the organization’s brand identity is consistent and effectively communicated.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of marketing materials and collateral.
  • Manage public relations activities to enhance the organization’s public image.

Event Promotion

  • Collaborate with the events team to promote fundraising events, community activities, and other organizational events.
  • Develop promotional materials and coordinate media coverage for events.

Website and Digital Presence

  • Oversee the management and updating of the organization’s website.
  • Ensure the website is user-friendly, up-to-date, and reflective of the organization’s activities and mission.
  • Utilize SEO and other digital marketing strategies to enhance the organization’s online
    presence.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and analyze metrics related to communications efforts.
  • Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong understanding of social media platforms, SEO, and digital marketing strategies.

Experience with content management systems, graphic design software, and analytics
tools.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
