Wozu Vision
To create a lifeline to the land connecting past and future generations.
Helping youth identify and harvest native species and expand our land regenerative practices.
In honor of our name, which means to plant, and in coordination with our key partner, Wozu planted 2000 cansasa (traditional tobacco) saplings along the trail project corridor on the Cannon ball River in 2022.
The effort was in support of our Land Regeneration initiative and will lead to opportunities within the Social Regeneration and Cultural Regeneration initiatives too.
Our hope is that youth can learn to identify and harvest native species. Future events will be hosted in celebration of the cultural and medicinal significance of the plants.
In addition to cansasa, Wozu and friends placed fifty buffalo berry bushes along the trail.
