Wozu Vision
To create a lifeline to the land connecting past and future generations.
Wozu hosted its first youth fishing event in 2022. Seventy-five youth from across Standing Rock Sioux Tribe participated in the program that provided each child with fishing gear and shoreline fishing instruction.
Originally developed and offered by a partner organization, Wozu was asked to take over the program to ensure its continuation. Over the years, more than 700 youth have learned to fish and Wozu has plans to reach that many and more in the years to come.
