Cannon Ball youth, adults and elders came together for the traditional Lakota activity Ptehcaka Phatapi (Buffalo Butchering). 

The event was hosted Oct. 10, 2022 outside the Immersion Nest on the Sitting Bull College Campus in Ft. Yates.

Participants enjoyed soup and herbal tea and were only asked to bring one item to the event – a spoon.

Wophida to the LAKȞÓL’IYAPI WAHÓȞPI / WIČHÁKINI OWÁYAWA (LAKOTA LANGUAGE NEST), Lisa and Arlo Iron Cloud and all the organizations that came together to start making the uncommon, common.
