Better Together
We are nothing without each other. Social regeneration is about shared experiences and the promotion of cultural traditions.
To encourage togetherness, Wozu is pursuing outdoor, family-friendly activities. We are people who move! Recreational infrastructure will soon create opportunities to improve physical wellness, relationships, and creativity.
Our goal is to get people moving in relationship with each other and our environment. In support of that goal, Wozu is working to provide trails to bike, hike, and explore that also foster a relationship with the land and animals.
Wozu’s priority project is a 12.2 mile trail system easily accessible to the residents of Cannon Ball and attractive to people who want to experience the beauty of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation land.
Additional Social Regeneration projects include:
- Youth Programming – afterschool education, arts opportunities, and college readiness.
- Exercise & Recreation – mountain bike trail, pump track, bmx track, and fitness clubs.
- Family Events – movie nights, talking circles, and community celebrations.
- Economic Activities – farmers markets, community store, bait shop, recreational rentals/repair, and regenerative agriculture.
