Learning to be stewards of our communities

Volunteering time and building confidence to solve problems!

Wozu’s Youth Biking Club is more than just riding bikes—it’s about learning responsibility, teamwork, and how to care for our communities. Thanks to generous donations, our youth recently traveled to Fort Yates to take part in a stewardship activity at the community park.

When they arrived, they worked to resolve common park issues: fallen leaves piling up, trash scattered, and spaces needing care. Together, the kids rolled up their sleeves to clean and restore the park. Along the way, they learned an important lesson: regular maintenance keeps public spaces safe and enjoyable for everyone.

After their hard work, it was time for fun! The youth celebrated their successful cleanup by riding Wozu bikes around the park and enjoying time on the basketball court.

This experience was a powerful reminder that giving back to the community brings both joy and pride. With continued support, Wozu’s Youth Biking Club will keep empowering youth to be active stewards of our land, parks, and neighborhoods.
