Wozu is looking ahead to a larger vision for the future within our community.
Plans are underway to expand into a community-centered campus that will serve as both a home base for staff and a hub of learning, growth, and connection.
At the heart of this campus is the goal of building workspace for staff, ensuring that those who dedicate themselves to caring for the land and community have a stable and supportive place. With workspaces in place, Wozu will be able to attract and retain skilled team members who can focus on the long-term success of regenerative agriculture, education, and cultural renewal.
The campus will also serve as a hub for education, hosting workshops, storytelling sessions, and hands-on learning experiences. Here, community members and visitors alike will engage in programs that teach traditional food practices, highlight sacred places, and revitalize the Dakota languages. This environment will provide a space where ancestral knowledge meets modern regenerative practices, strengthening cultural identity while creating pathways for youth to reconnect with their heritage.
The campus will also create space for outdoor activity and wellness, connecting physical health with cultural and spiritual renewal. Trails for biking, hiking, and walking will extend from the campus, while designated areas for recreation will encourage healthy lifestyles, foster relationships, and invite creativity.
Finally, the campus will become a gathering place for cultural activities—a venue for celebrations, ceremonies, and artistic expression. From seasonal festivals to interpretive exhibits, the space will allow culture to flourish while bringing together people of all ages in shared learning and joy.
Together, these developments will ensure Wozu’s programs have a permanent, living foundation. By weaving housing, education, food, wellness, and culture into one campus, Wozu will strengthen its role as a lifeline to the land and a beacon for future generations.
