Art doesn’t always come from paint or paper.
Tell a story, create images or patterns!
Step 1: Collect Your Supplies
On a calm day (not too windy!), head outside with a guardian and look around your yard, park, or riverbank. Gather:
- Colorful Fall leaves
- Different sizes of sticks
- Rough and smooth rocks
Step 2: Pick Your Canvas
Choose a flat spot in the grass, dirt, or even your driveway to make your art. This will be your “canvas.” (be sure to get permission first!)
Step 3: Design Your Masterpiece
Arrange your supplies however you’d like! Some fun ideas are:
- A sun made from yellow leaves and sticks for rays!
- A colorful fish with leafy fins!
- A simple pattern of shapes and colors!
- A colorful shadow of yourself made from leaves!
- A rainbow around a tree!
Step 4: Snap a Picture
Since wind or rain can move your art, ask a guardian to help you take a photo of your creation. That way, you’ll always remember it.
Step 5: Share & Celebrate — #WOZUArt
Show your art to your family and friends. You could even start a nature art gallery by making a new piece each season.
